Disaster Relief

We have an active Disaster Relief team that researches the best place to send funds after a disaster, both local and globally. Your donations aide Christian organizations that already have a relationship with HPPC. When you can make a donation, you can note the disaster designation of your choice.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew 25:35-36

We continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Egypt after suicide bombers attacked two Coptic churches in Egypt on April 9, killing forty-four people. It was the deadliest day of violence in the country in decades. ISIS has claimed responsibility for both bombings. Highland Park Pres joins with The Outreach Foundation in sending funding to help the victims and work to plant new churches.

You can donate to our disaster relief fund which will be used to help with immediate needs as well as aid local churches and families as they begin to rebuild.

The Crisis in Syria

The news brings daily reports of increased violence against and the death of Syrians. The situation in Syria affects more than 12 million people … more than those affected by Hurricane Katrina, the Haiti earthquake and the Indian Ocean tsunami. Our fellow Presbyterians in Syria are literally caught in the crossfire of the conflict as well as the horrors that are happening to those fleeing the country.

HPPC has two partners that are on the ground saving lives and providing assistance to those in Crisis.

  1. Through World Vision, you can help provide essentials like clean water and health care to the refugees And thanks to a grant from USAID to support our response to the Syria crisis, any amount you raise will have six times the impact to help refugee children and their families.
  2. Through The Outreach Foundation we can support Presbyterian Christians. Nineteen Syrian congregations are enduring the hardship of war. The Synod of Syria and Lebanon provides support for the displaced congregants and pastors, as well as ministry funds so that churches can offer hope and healing to others in Christ’s name.

HPPC has been able to assist with disaster relief in Haiti, Japan, Somalia, Nepal, Texas and the Syrian refugees.
