What We're About

We want to come alongside you to teach your children to know and love Jesus. Find out more about our Early Childhood, Elementary, and 5th and 6th Grade Ministries below. We are excited to welcome your kids to Sunday classes! Pre-registration is required.

Early Childhood
Birth-K

The Early Childhood ministry will grow your child’s understanding of God’s love through their interactions with caregivers, Bible stories, songs, and age-appropriate activities.

Sunday Mornings 

Sunday Classes are available in limited capacity in person (beginning Nov. 1) as well as online through EC Live. Both formats include worship, Biblically-based teaching, and activities that help bring the Bible stories to life in a developmentally fun and appropriate way. Whether a child engages with our curriculum online or in person, they will learn, experience, and be able to share with others the same truths together.

Sunday Classes for ages 3–Kinder (by Sept 1) are back!Registration required.

Mid-Week

During the week, keep your eyes on our Early Childhood Instagram page where you will find our Monday Memory Verse, a weekly verse for your family to learn and explore together, and our Friday Story Time, a brief story time led by our Early Childhood team that includes a collection of Bible Stories and favorite children’s books.

Elementary Ministry
1st-4th Grade

The Elementary ministry is a place that teaches kids God's love in a way that helps their faith become real and their own.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday classes are available in person beginning Nov.1 as well as online through HK Live. Our team has created special lessons that includes worship songs to sing along with, engaging & inspiring lessons, and activities for the kids. We hope to connect with kids and families on a weekly basis as we move forward during this unique time.

Mid-Week –Community Groups

Community Groups for kids in 3rd & 4th grades meet on Wednesday or Sunday evenings to help kids connect with one another, study Scripture, pray together, and have tons of fun. Sign up online for a Community Group.

5th-6th Grade
Ministry

The 5th & 6th Grade ministry is uniquely designed for 10–12 year olds, to help kids develop, mature, and grow their faith and have fun doing it.

Is child care available for ministry events?

At this time, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are not offering child care for any ministry events. When we are able to safely provide child care for ministry events, details will be available on the Highland Kids webpage.

Do Highland Kids go on mission trips?

Yes! Age appropriate mission trips take place around our city, our state, and the world. Learn more at hppres.org/mission-trips

Do you have an indoor play space?

Our indoor play space, The Woods, is currently closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Are there Kids' Choirs at HP Pres?

Yes! If your child is interested in being a part of our Kids Choir, visit our Serve page or contact Gay Munselle for more information. 

Does HP Pres host any schools?

Yes. Both the Highland Park Presbyterian Day School and the Hillier School meet on campus at Highland Park Pres.
