Hope Africa is a ministry of HPPC developed to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on extremely poor families in East Africa. It has grown to include the wider community in educational and psychological support for vulnerable children and business development opportunities for adults.
HPPC partners with Mission to the World’s Ethiopia Aids Care and Treatment (ACT). When ACT started in 2002, the AIDS epidemic in Ethiopia was at its peak. ACT’s goal was to find and care for the sickest and poorest AIDS sufferers. Today, ACT continues to reach the urban poor who suffer from HIV/AIDS and other diseases like cervical cancer and tuberculosis. We long to see “the least of these” experience God’s mercy and love and to see gospel –centered churches that love and serve the poor, planted.
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. Isaiah 1:17
