Niki Hobbs - Voice
firstname.lastname@example.org. Niki Hobbs has been teaching private voice lessons for over 15 years. She earned a Bachelors of Music Degree in Vocal Performance at Converse College in South Carolina and a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from Northwestern University. With an extensive performing career that includes Opera, Oratorio, Musical and Children’s Theater, Ms. Hobbs brings a well-rounded love of performing to the Music Academy. Her teaching philosophy incorporates building a strong musical foundation through excellent vocal technique and musicianship. Ms. Hobbs recognizes the relationship between physical health, movement/stage deportment and the vocal instrument, utilizing a whole body philosophy that encourages healthy singing.
Sue Carlson - Piano
email@example.com. Sue has over thirty years of successful experience teaching piano to children of a variety of ages and skill levels. She has been teaching at HPPC as part of the Music Academy since 2000. Many of Sue’s students continue to achieve the highest awards possible at the local music festivals and the Texas State Music Theory exams. She holds undergraduate degrees from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock in both piano and voice, as well as a Master of Music in vocal performance from SMU. Sue has been a part of the music staff at HPPC as Alto Section Leader for 21 years. During that time she has often accompanied the children’s choirs when they sing in worship services and for the spring musicals.
Han Yuan Wang – Violin/Viola/Piano
firstname.lastname@example.org Han-Yuan Wang was born in Taiwan and came to the US in 1999 to further her musical studies. Upon graduating from Millikin University with a Bachelors of Music in piano and violin performance, she accepted a full time teaching position in Mount Pleasant, Utah, at Wasatch Academy, an international boarding school where she taught mandarin, applied lessons, coaching ensembles, music appreciation, music fundamentals, and AP theory. Since coming to Dallas in 2010, Hanyuan has remained active in the freelancing scene and also has a great group of private students who are members of GDYO and All-Region/All State winners. When she is not playing or teaching, Hanyuan contracts musicians for church/wedding events throughout the metroplex. She lives in Garland with her two dogs and one cat and is active in animal rescue through Operation Kindness.
