Outdoor Worship Opportunity

Song Sheet for July 12 - 8 am

Highland Park Presbyterian Church is offering Outdoor Worship services on the Front Lawn of our church. These Outdoor Worship services will help us prepare for the next phase in gathering together as a church family when we begin offering services in our Sanctuary.

Because safety is the top priority for our community, face coverings that cover mouths and noses must be worn by all attendees over the age of two.

We will have a limited capacity of 100 people, therefore, registration is required. For those not ready to return to campus, we will continue to offer our online services at hppres.org/liveyoutube.com/hppres, and facebook.com/hppcindallas

Registration is required due to limited space

Advance registration is required to ensure that sufficient seating will be available as we comply with social distancing guidelines. Click one of the below buttons to make a reservation.

Safety Protocols:

While no one can guarantee a completely safe environment or social event during this unprecedented pandemic, we are working hard to keep our community safe and we are asking you to partner with us in that mission. We want you to know that your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. Participating in Outdoor Worship or accessing the facilities at Highland Park Presbyterian Church could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19. With that being said, please see the below safety practices for this event:

  • Practice social distancing – maintain 6 ft apart from non-family
  • Avoid physical contact with others
  • Wash/sanitize hands upon arrival and as needed
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Stay home if you have been sick in the last 24 hours or have been around someone who is sick
  • Masks are required

When should I get there?

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the service start. When you arrive, greeters will guide you to your seating area.

Are children welcome?

Yes! All children and students will be required to sit with an adult member of their household, observe social distancing, and practice appropriate hand hygiene. Children over the age of two are also required to remain properly masked throughout the entire service.

How long will these services last?

Approximately 35 minutes.

Where will Outdoor Worship be held?

Our Outdoor Worship services will be held on the front lawn of Highland Park Pres, at 3821 University Blvd.

What will the service look like?

These Outdoor Worship services will be casual gatherings that follow liturgy similar to our other worship services. Please dress comfortably.

Will there be music?

A staff musician will lead a variety of well-known hymns and songs.

What if it rains?

In the event of inclement weather, Outdoor Worship will be canceled, and attendees are encouraged to watch hppres.org/live from home.

Will online worship continue?

Yes. Worship online at hppres.org/live at 8:45, 10, and 11:15 am will continue and will feature a more complete Sunday morning experience than our Outdoor Worship services.

Should I attend if I haven’t been feeling well?

We ask that you not attend if you are sick, have recently been sick, or been in contact with others who are sick.

Are vulnerable populations welcome?

We strongly encourage people who are in vulnerable populations to stay home and worship online at hppres.org/live. According to the CDC, vulnerable populations which are at risk are those over 65 years of age, especially those with chronic lung disease; moderate to severe asthma; chronic heart disease; severe obesity; diabetes; chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis; liver disease; or weakened immune system.

Will social distancing be practiced?

Yes. Please keep at least 6’ away from others, and avoid hugs and handshakes. Masks are required for all, and hand sanitizing stations will be available.

What should I bring?

Your mask. Everyone must wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times.

Will anything be handed out?

Nothing will be distributed before, during, or after our outdoor services. This includes food, drink, offering plates, bulletins, hymnals, and Bibles. Pre-packaged communion will be available.

Will the church building be open?

No, except for visits to the restroom. One set of restrooms, located in the new Connector building, will be accessible from the Front Lawn.

Will there be Sunday classes, fellowship time, childcare, shuttle service, or parking assistance?

No on-site Sunday School classes, fellowship time, childcare, shuttle service, or parking assistance will be offered at this time.
