Prior to coming to Highland Park, Josh served as the Director of the Young Adult Community and the College Ministry at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. He brings years of experience in building community across generations of church members. He began in the 5th and 6th Grade and Middle School ministries at Peachtree. Before Peachtree, he served as a missionary working with an Atlanta area homeless shelter and outreach ministry. Josh is excited to be a part of the HP Pres family, because it is a community whose love for Jesus, and commitment to his mission in the world, is so clearly embodied in all they do. Josh is excited for the future as the church enters the next phase of its history as a leading Dallas congregation. He is passionate about preaching and teaching, helping people experience life together in authentic communities, and creating environments and opportunities for people to develop transformational relationships with God. Josh is encouraged daily by Jesus words to his followers, when he tells us, I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take courage! I have conquered the world. John 16:33Josh was born and raised in Pittsburgh but got to the South as quickly as he could. He earned his Masters in Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. Additionally, he is a graduate of Denison University, in Granville, Ohio and the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Lander, Wyoming. Josh and his wife, Ginny were married in 2010 and look forward to starting a family in Dallas. Josh is an avid runner and also enjoys biking, kayaking, and skiing.
