Todd has been serving on the staff at Highland Park Presbyterian Church since 1982. He was born in St. Clair, Michigan but being the son of a preacher, his family moved around a lot. Todd finally settled back in Texas after living in Houston for seven years during his childhood, to study at SMU where he earned a B.A. in political science. He later went on to graduate school to study work in computer science at UTA. Todd's favorite thing about working at HPPC is that each day he has the privilege to spend his energy on what has eternal value instead of on what is fleeting and temporal. He finds the practice of serving Jesus Christ and “dwelling in His house forever” quite motivating and fulfilling. Over the many years he has served at HPPC, Todd is thankful to have worked with some very awesome Christian members and staff.Todd and his wife, Winifred, have two daughters, Sophie and Kathryn. The oldest, Sophie, is working in south Sudan for a USAID contractor. Kathryn, their youngest, is currently in graduate school at Auburn University studying aeronautical engineering. When they were younger, both girls attended Mother’s Co-Op and the Day School at HPPC.Some of Todd's favorite hobbies include photography, video production, walking and hiking (especially in forests), swimming, fishing, cycling, cross-country skiing (yes, since he lives in Texas this is a seldom practiced hobby), preparing Thanksgiving dinner, hanging out with family and close friends and working to be a conduit for God that he may be used by God to mentor youth and adults to be Christians and good disciples. Todd currently serves as a Stephen Ministry Leader, a Youth Group sponsor at his “Sunday Church,” a Sunday School teacher, a Disciple Bible Study Leader, a Eucharistic Minister and Lay Reader, Lay Eucharistic Visitor (pastoral care volunteer who brings communion to shut-ins), annual Youth summer mission trip sponsor and a mentor for a Youth Pilgrimage to England (summer 2012).Favorite scripture: Psalm 23:6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
