Judy Becker, originally from Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, Washington, has served faithfully within HPPC for more than 30 years. She came to HPPC with a desire to worship on Thanksgiving Day. A newspaper ad alerted her to the church’s service that featured brass instruments. Since that time she has been involved as a Deacon as well as shared her gift of singing as a Chancel Choir member.Judy has a large heart for international students. She was involved in the International Friendship Program (IFP) for more than a decade. Currently, she is an HP Pres-supported missionary with International Students, Inc. as well as a part-time front desk associate. Her favorite part about working at HP Pres is being aware of and being able to pray for the needs and activities of the church.Judy’s interests outside of work include teaching ukulele (and the Gospel) to students around the world by singing in their native languages, singing in the Dallas Symphony Chorus, golf and traveling.Judy’s favorite scripture comes from Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. She chose it because she believes that we can abound in HOPE.
