Highland Park Presbyterian Day School
Sarah has been with Highland Park Presbyterian Day School since 2010 – first as a teacher and currently as the executive director. A friend introduced her to the curriculum coordinator at the time who gave her a tour of the Day School and she knew this is where she should be. She started on her birthday (1/25) in room 125!Sarah was born in Midland but grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She received her Bachelor in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida. After moving to Dallas, she attended Dallas Baptist University to get a Masters in Educational Leadership. She also has a Texas Teachers Certification EC-6 and her Texas Principal Certification.A true benefit of being on staff at HP Pres is that Sarah has been able to align her spiritual journey with her career. She said, “I have grown greatly in my faith as I am continually challenged to apply it to my work. I love being in an environment that encourages me to continue to build my relationship with Christ."Sarah loves spending time with her husband, Greg, and their young sons Elliot and Oliver. They enjoy being outdoors. She says she misses the beach but tries to visit as often as possible. Sarah also enjoys reading novels and playing sports.Sarah’s favorite verse that hangs above her desk is Proverbs 3:5-6 because it gets her through any situation. “The words mean so much to me, and just saying them brings me such a sense of relief – God is there for me, He is constant, He will provide the answers,” Sarah noted.Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
