Session Update – March

The Session of Highland Park Presbyterian Church is the ruling body of our congregation, charged with governance, overseeing the Church’s spiritual health, and guiding its mission for Christ in the world. In order to better do this, the Session communicates frequently with the congregation of HP Pres to report its decisions and activities. You can visit the Elders page ( to see other updates from the Session and to send messages to our Elders and pastors.

  • After a day of fasting, the Session spent time together in worship, prayed for our church, and studied 1 Corinthians 10.
  • We’re grateful to have been able to host pastor and author Tim Keller this past Sunday! You can see his message at
  • The Session discussed the importance of being able to track important metrics, like Vision 100 ( in the church, without losing sight of the individual people we are called to disciple.
  • The Campus Vision team gave a brief update about Transform. Construction is proceeding on track, and the next round of updates will begin this summer. More information will come soon on
  • After a two-year, nationwide search, we’re excited to welcome Sarah Good as our new Executive Director. Learn more about Sarah Good at
  • The Finance committee gave a mid-year update about the church’s finances. Giving to the General Operating Budget is above expectations, spending is below expectations, and pledged gifts to Transform are on track.
