With virtual worship being our new normal, many of us still long to return to our physical community at HP Pres. For Rebecca and Brody Roush, Outdoor Worship was a great and safe way to connect with our church family again, though meeting together would look a little different. They immediately reached out to see how they can help usher in a safe, in-person worship experience and joined our Start Here team.
“Being a greeter at Outdoor Worship has allowed us to reconnect with the incredible community that is HP Pres in a way that we never could have anticipated,” Rebecca describes. “Though the usual greetings of hugs and handshakes may be replaced with a more socially distant wave, and though you cannot see the smiles on people’s faces through their masks, you can see the light of Holy Spirit moving in the eyes of others in our community! Serving in Outdoor Worship has rekindled this light in us and has reminded us that as a community of Christ followers, we can endure these unbelievably difficult times.”
Highland Park Presbyterian Church is offering Outdoor Worship services on the Front Lawn of our church every Sunday. These Outdoor Worship services will help us prepare for the next phase in gathering together as a church family when we begin offering services in our Sanctuary.
