Ways to Pray This Week – March 28

How incredible it is that we have a God we can talk with — and that is what prayer is! At HP Pres, we believe prayer makes a difference in our lives, and in the lives of others. Take a few minutes today to talk with God using the Scripture and prayers below.

He sent from on high, he took me;
    he drew me out of many waters.
He rescued me from my strong enemy

    and from those who hated me,
    for they were too mighty for me.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity,

    but the Lord was my support.
He brought me out into a broad place;

    he rescued me, because he delighted in me.

The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness;
    according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me.
For I have kept the ways of the
Lord,
    and have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all his rules were before me,

    and his statutes I did not put away from me.
I was blameless before him,

    and I kept myself from my guilt.
So the
Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
    according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. – Psalm 18:16-24

There are men and women in our prisons who are innocently imprisoned. Take some time today to pray for:

  • Hope and strength for those suffering injustices.
  • A sense of God’s presence for those who are trapped under systems of unjust power.
  • The families of those innocently imprisoned.
  • Truth and justice to rise up and for these men and women to be freed.
