This church is not an organization you join; it’s a family to which you belong. And in this family it’s OK to not be OK, as none of us are perfect. Our desire is to be winsome followers of Jesus, joining together across generations and cultures to seek the flourishing of our city.

The Book of Acts is the improbable account of how the first followers of Jesus spread and multiplied during the thirty years following his death and resurrection, launching a movement that would turn the ancient world upside down. This is the story of the early church seeking, in the power of the Spirit, to put flesh on this good news about Jesus. God put on flesh and “moved into our neighborhood” as Jesus of Nazareth, and now, he puts flesh on his people and creates his body—the church. Acts doesn’t gloss over the church’s growing pains and tensions, but on the whole, this movement, that would come to be called the church, is unified in its faithful mission to announce Jesus as Lord, in its devotion to God’s purposes, and its mutual concern for everyone.
